I love H&M and still remember how overwhelming it felt when I stepped in my first store in Italy. Everything looked so good, their collections seemed well edited and planned and I obviously appreciated the price points. One of the first dresses I bought was a blush butterfly sleeve dress, but sadly I lost it shortly after on my trip to Mauritius.
I was so glad however when I found that it is a classic style that they offer in a multitude of colours and patterns. I got a cream dress with black dots but I really want to go back for the black version, as it is one of the most comfortable dresses I own, requires no ironing and can easily be dressed up and down.
For this occasion I decided to dress it down, with brown leather shoes and a comfortable cross body bag. This is a typical everyday look for me, and would work perfectly for anything I might be doing on Valentine’s day (we really don’t go big). I also often wear this to work with nude heels and a more structured bag.
Fun fact! When I spotted these XO balloons at Mr Price Home I knew I needed them for a Valentine’s Day shoot. So I had them filled with helium hoping to get perfect shots of the balloons against the beautiful High Court building, but the volume of the balloons are too little and sadly they don’t float. So I stood there waving the balloons around, hoping to get a shot where the balloons look like they float.
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, or Galentine’s Day (which IMHO is better) filled with loads of chocolate!
