Review Catrice Glamour Doll Waterproof Mascara

Catrice Glam and Doll Waterproof mascara wandWhen Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup mentions a product she loves, I take notice. I think it is because she isn’t a fickle beauty blogger and likes to stick to what is tried ans trusted, just like I do. So when she recently mentioned a new contender for favourite mascara, the Catrice Glamour Doll Waterproof mascara, I took note! Not only is this brand available in South Africa, it is also super affordable and waterproof.

I still love my old favourites (Clinique High Lengths and Estee Lauder Sumptuous), but as it is not waterproof panda eyes is a serious problem for me. It is worth noting I’ve never used a waterproof mascara before, so I didn’t really know what to expect. The mascara claims to lengthen, thicken and curl your lashes. Mine aren’t really lacking in the volume department, but I definitely don’t have the flirtiest lashes. In fact, without mascara I might as well not have lashes!Catrice Glam and Doll Waterproof mascara test

After using the mascara a fair bit I can honestly say I love it. The effects are noticeable without being too dramatic for my everyday natural look. The millions of fine rubber brisles doesn’t clump my lashes and distributes a fair amount of magic onto my lashes. I can definitely see it curl and lengthen my lashes, but I think there are others out there that are better at volumising than this one. Removing it does take several wipes of my Garnier Micellar water, but I think if you invest in an oily makeup remover it will be more effective.

All in all this one was worth the wait (it was sold out at most Dischem stores) and I think that this is possibly the best value for money mascara I’ve tried. Bye bye panda eyes!
